FAMILY MOTTO

"Let God Be Magnified"

Bible and magnifying glass

In Webster's New World Dictionary a magnifying glass is described
as "a lens that makes the things seen through it look larger".

Psalm 70: 4

Let all those who seek You
rejoice and be glad in You;
And let those who love Your
Salvation say continually.
"Let God be Magnified!"

Psalm 34: 3

Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.

Psalm 69: 30

I will praise the name of God with a song,
And will magnify Him with thanksgiving.

Psalm 35: 27

Let them shout for joy and be glad,
Who favor my righteous cause;
And let them say continually,
"Let the Lord be magnified,
Who has pleasure in the
prosperity of His servant."

Job 36: 24

Remember to magnify His work,
Of which men have sung.

A magnifying glass is a useful tool. It is an item that does not draw
attention to itself. It benefits only as it provides service for the user.

The lens of a magnifying glass, although its main purpose is to magnify
what is seen through it, has another aspect that makes it very powerful
indeed. When the lens is held correctly, magnifying the sun, the sun's
rays, reflected back through the lens on whatever material is
combustible, become so concentrated, so intense, so focused and so
incredibly hot that this energy has the power to ignite a blazing fire
and burn with great intensity.

As our family continues to increase and expand, even throughout the
whole world, generation after generation, down to the end of time; as we
live out our family motto, "Let God be Magnified" we will be a blessing to the
Lord and to our world.

In Matthew 13: 33 Jesus told a parable,"...The kingdom of heaven is like
leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was
all leavened."

* Our family will be that yeast of the kingdom that permeates, perhaps
hidden and unseen at times, but always enlarging and penetrating
into our world and culture for our God's glory.

Because God's glory will also be reflected back through our family
members, who knows what that power, the fire of the Holy Spirit
will accomplish for God's purposes, through us for His kingdom.

Job 42: 2

I know You can do everything, and that no
purpose of Yours can be withheld from You!
