Going Home 2005 - The Finale
Goodby until the next time
burned trees   Former farm yard
The driveway into
our farm home
where I would wait for the
school bus is now covered with little dasies and other weeds.
my shadow and the little weeds growing in the driveway

Not much left
but
my
shadow
and memories.

car coming   car going
A car coming

Thank goodness for the yield signs!
A car going
  lone broken tree
A lone tree - silhouetted against the sky - on the road back to the freeway and home.

 I Dwell in Possibility
Another poem by Emily Dickinson

 I dwell in Possibility -
A fairer House than Prose -
More numerous of Windows -
Superior - for Doors -

Of Chambers as the Cedars -
 Impregnable of Eye -
 And for an Everlasting Roof
The Gambrels of the Sky -

Of Visitors - the fairest -
 For Occupation - This -
The spreading wide my narrow Hands
 To gather Paradise -
